WEATHER POLICY In the event of adverse weather or unplayable field conditions, The Jackson Ladies Lacrosse Booster Club, it’s Director’s, Jackson Twp and/or school Officials reserves the right to: • Cancel games and/or remaining schedule in their entirety. • Reduce game times in order to catch up with schedule • Finish games before inclement weather arrives, or to preserve field conditions. • Reschedule games, if possible. Every attempt will be made to update cancellations as soon as possible. However, weather conditions can change rapidly and all teams should be prepared to play as soon as weather and fields are playable. If thunder or lightning is observed, play will be suspended immediately and players and fans will be asked to leave the fields to return to cars. Play will be allowed to resume 20 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning is observed which will be determined by the Polar Bear Bash staff. Every attempt will be made to begin subsequent games on time. Liability Release and Certificate of Insurance Requirements Liability Release: We (“Registered Team, Staff and Members”) hereby release and discharge The Jackson Ladies Lacrosse Booster Club, Jackson Local Schools, Jackson Township, Jackson Parks and the US Lacrosse organization, its officers, coaches, sponsors, and representatives from any and all obligations and/or liability resulting from accidents, injuries, or otherwise occurring as a result of participation in or attendance at Polar Bear Bash. All teams/players must be registered with US Lacrosse, and it is the exclusive responsibility of the coach to obtain and provide a certificate of insurance. Once your team is registered with US Lacrosse you can request a certificate of insurance from Bollinger Insurance at REFUND POLICY - Is only effective in the event of a cancellation by a team within 2 weeks prior to date of Polar Bear Bash. 1. No team will receive a full refund. Partial refunds will be issued if the tournament is canceled in whole. 2. No refunds will be issued if the event is shortened in part for any reason, including inclement weather or any other “Act of God.” 3. No refund for any team that is expelled / removed from the event by the Director’s for using un-sportsman-like behavior that requires the team removed from the event. Spectators also need to respect the Officials and the Players. Bad behavior will not be tolerated. Should referees or Polar Bear Bash staff or Directors deem a spectator, player, or coach needs to be removed from the site(s) of the event, it will be the responsibility of the coach(s) from the offender’s team to remove the offender from the site(s). The Directors of Jackson Ladies Lacrosse Booster Club reserve the right to cancel, shorten, or reschedule games due to inclement weather, poor field conditions, or player and fan safety concerns. Jackson Ladies Lacrosse Booster Club, its officers, employees and staff will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any team, club or organization if the event is canceled in whole or in part. Jackson Ladies Lacrosse Booster Club Directors along with Jackson Township and/or school officials reserve the right to decide on all matters pertaining to the operation of the event and its judgment is final.
